Here’s a game I made, that shows a chick eating a matcha Pocky stick, one of my favorite treats that I cannot eat anymore because of a new allergy. Also, why are food in games often pancakes, pizza, and hamburgers?
The code blocks for the chick shows tilt and scoring. When the chick touches the Pocky, it makes a chomp sound and gets a point! But if it touches the edges, it glows red and loses a point. This makes it a little more challenging!
The matcha Pocky stick’s code block is just to make it move around randomly forever. I played around with the speed, and am wondering how to create different levels where the Pocky moves around faster.
You can download and play my game on your device. Feel free to remix it with your toy and favorite treats!

I was unable to get this to work on a friend’s Android OS phone, so if you have one and are tech savvy, let me know if you were able to do it!
Super cool! My 10yo just launched a Scratch account, we’ll look into Octostudio too. Good point about common collectibles. I’ll tell him to add some Lumpia to his game!

This is a game I made based on my loving cat
She’d lookin for your love! Every time she touches the heart, she meows and grows a bit bigger!
The code block will reset her size and your score when you restart.
Upbringing Game.octostudio (162.2 KB) Here’s a game that reflects my upbringing. Growing up we played music on the CD player all the time. We would play music while we cooked together or cleaned the house to make it fun. Even now, on long car rides we love to blast our favorite songs and sing along. Music is a big part of how we connect. So my game involves a boombox and you can tilt your phone to catch the music notes. As it catches the notes, the boombox grows and plays music. Your points increase when you catch the notes and decrease when you hit the edges.
