Created by Field Day Lab at UW-Madison, these games are playable anywhere! In their words:
Finally there is a free, high-quality educational video game library from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Introducing the Vault, created by the team at Field Day Lab. The Vault is a growing collection of learning games built in the spirit of public media—a space where educators, artists, and designers come together to make something bigger than any of us could build alone.
The Vault is designed for learners in grade 4 and up. Each featured game is chosen for its creativity, rigor, and classroom usefulness. Some are developed by our team at Field Day Lab; others come from a network of developers committed to equity, imagination, and deep learning. This project is part of a long-term collaboration with the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction focused on expanding access to meaningful games for classrooms across the state and beyond.
If this is your first time hearing from us, it’s because you’re part of a community of educators we admire. The Vault exists so that high-quality, research-informed learning games can be freely available to educators everywhere.
