Highlights from the workshop
Gail K. and Jennifer V. wondered about ways to incorporate traditional Hawaiian patterns and tattoos into a symmetry activity
Jocelyn E. created multicolored quilting patterns from stamps
Amy C. is considering running an “Orange you glad” workshop to use oranges in printmaking, and brainstormed a few ideas for adult symmetry programs with ceramics and nature prints on tote bags
Han K. stacked the craft foam to make it easier to grab the thin stamp
Elizabeth W. made a book recommendation for nature symmetry, Swirl by Swirl by Joyce Sidman, for ages 4+, which is now on the Beautiful Symmetry activity page!

This was such a fun process to go through! I had a little ink pad available, so my first idea was a) not how I wanted it to turn out and b) too big for my ink pad. I pivoted to make a smaller stamp. I loved seeing everyone’s creatures come together! Maybe I’ll go back in and make all my Vs into critters with open mouths
